ESTAma was tasked to sell a portfolio of more than 200 car repair shops let to ATU. Due to the size of the portfolio in the hundreds of millions of Euros and the partially weak demographics of the asset locations bank finance was not readily available. Hence a portfolio sale as initially pursed by the client would only have been possible at a significant discount to the underlying asset values. ESTAma was able to sell all assets in individual and small sub-portfolio sales within 24 months due to its unique network of private investors and local property companies. This break up strategy was executed faster than expected by the client and resulted in a 50% upside compared with offers for a global sale of the portfolio.
